Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has said the marketing campaign will begin "around the start of summer" — industry watchers read that as late June or early July 2026, most likely alongside Trailer 3. How much will GTA 6 cost?

Not officially announced. The best signal we have: Zelnick indicated in early 2026 that the standard edition is expected in the $70–$80 range, in line with current AAA pricing. Persistent "$100 base game" rumors have never been supported by Take-Two statements.

Which edition should you actually buy?

Until real editions are announced, the honest guidance is the same advice that held for GTA 5 and RDR2:

Most people: standard edition. Rockstar's deluxe tiers have historically bundled cosmetic and in-game-cash bonuses, not story content.
GTA Online players: the premium tier usually pays for itself if you'll play the online mode heavily — but wait to see what GTA Online 2 bonuses actually include.
Collectors: collector's editions sell out instantly and scalp hard. If the leak is right about a $150+ physical tier, decide before pre-orders open, not after.

Get ready before the rush

Storage: file size isn't announced, but modern Rockstar games are enormous — clear 150GB+ on your console or be ready to buy an SSD expansion.
