Edge visited Rockstar and published a long hands-on feature. Here is what was reported, and what is still unknown. All details come from press coverage of the feature, not the magazine itself.
A longer day
Nelson said the team first tried GTA 5's day-night timings. Everything felt too fast. So the cycle was stretched. Edge did not say how long a full day lasts.
Detail changes behavior
Nelson also said higher resolution means some old shortcuts no longer work: "As the resolution of the worlds goes up, I think there are things you can't get away with in the same way." He pointed to GTA 5 pedestrians, who barely reacted when a weapon appeared unless it was aimed at them. He said this "was already showing its age."
Coverage of the session also describes NPCs that react to how you act, such as getting agitated if you stare too long, and a chance to lower a weapon before a wanted level starts. Those points were summarized by outlets, not quoted from Edge, so wording may differ from the original.
What this does not change
Nothing here moves the date. Take-Two has reaffirmed November 19. Delay claims for 2027 remain unconfirmed.
